Strong thermal wind (typically 18–35+ knots, strongest from October to April), with gusts reaching 35–40 knots and sandstorms possible during the windiest periods. Mostly flat water inside the bay with small chop farther out, making it ideal for slalom, speed and foil. Sandy beach launch with plenty of space; a kitesurf spot nearby also offers gear storage and accommodation. Watch for fishing boats, shallow areas near shore at low tide, and heavy afternoon gusts. Water is cool, so a wetsuit is recommended.
