All three are 'no-nonsense, go-fast' sails for wide boards — the difference is how much performance you want versus how much hassle you'll accept.
The dividing line is mostly cambers: little spacers at the mast that hold the sail's shape for power and stability — at the cost of weight and easy handling. More cambers means more locked-in speed, but heavier, harder to rig and trickier to waterstart. Here's how the three stack up.

Freeride
Beginners to intermediates who want easy, fun speed.

Be honest about how you actually sail. If you ride for fun a few times a month, a freeride or freerace sail gives you 90% of the thrill with none of the hassle — and you'll sail more because rigging and waterstarting are easy. Save the full race sail for when speed is the whole point.
