Brouwersdam sits between the North Sea and the Grevelingenmeer, a sheltered inland lake, giving you two very different sailing options on the same stretch of coastline. The North Sea side delivers chop and swell for those after more challenge; the lake side offers pancake-flat water that is perfect for speed sailing, slalom, and getting to grips with new kit. The season is short, really June to August, but when the Dutch summer cooperates, this place punches well above its weight.

A proper rental centre sits right on the water. On the other side of the dam, the North Sea adds chop and bump for anyone who wants a bit more.
