Holland's flat-water playground — one dam, two completely different seas
Brouwersdam sits between the North Sea and the Grevelingenmeer, a sheltered inland lake, giving you two very different sailing options on the same stretch of coastline. The North Sea side delivers chop and swell for those after more challenge; the lake side offers pancake-flat water that is perfect for speed sailing, slalom, and getting to grips with new kit. The season is short — really June to August — but when the Dutch summer cooperates, this place punches well above its weight.

The lake side of Brouwersdam is one of Holland's best-kept windsurfing secrets. The Grevelingenmeer delivers consistent, side-shore wind with zero swell — ideal for learning, speed runs, or dialling in your jibes without worrying about wash. A proper rental centre sits right on the water. On the other side of the dam, the North Sea adds chop and bump for anyone who wants a bit more.
