It's the forecast model. In any wind app (Windguru, Windy…) you can pick which one to show. Not sure? GFS is the safe global default; the high-res ones (ICON-D2, AROME…) are sharper at coastal & thermal spots.

Ocean Park is a city beach in San Juan. At this end, by Parque Barbosa, you rig on the grass beside the beach road, then you have the beach and then blue water. A Formula World Championship was held here in 2011. The challenge is the short chop. Further out the bigger waves break on the reef, which keeps them out of the bay but creates a lot of chop inside. On a foil that is not a big problem, but on a fin it makes you work. It is not a spot for beginners, but if you know how to sail in waves and chop, you will have a lot of fun. It is typical Caribbean: now and then a rain squall comes through and it stays warm, but the wind drops after the rain. Puerto Rico's trade wind is lighter in December, January and February and gets better from March through the summer. There are no rental centres in Puerto Rico, so bring your own gear.
